September eighteenth, for most of you who know lane, you know that today is a stressful day for her because on this day two years ago her daughter Jennifer was killed. As you might imagine it’s been quite depressing so to keep herself semi-sane she has attempted to stay as busy as possible. When lane got home from work she went to work in her garden removing worn out cherry tomato plants and their stakes. She replaced them with her favorite fall vegetable; mustard and kale greens. Working in the earth is what lane does to get thru the day sometimes. Gardening is her therapy. When I got home we went to blowing rock and got two large rocks to add to several we got yesterday to use as steps for lanes greenhouse I am building for her. Lane wants to say a special thanks to all you for allowing her to vent, like you would reach thru the computer screen and stop her.
