Yesterday Lane and I went to a gun show in hickory. We have gone there several times before. There’s always a large group of people there; rednecks, city boys and girls and a few kids. Lane was expecting a lot of people but we were not prepared for or even thought about the huge crowd that was at this show. People were lined up out the door just to get in to this thing. When we finally did make our way into this place it was totally packed. It was difficult to move around and even more so to see anything. It was elbow to elbow two or three lines thick all the way thru this place. The people that were there weren’t the usual gun show groupies. There were the usual types like hunters, good ole boys, rednecks and their girlfriends but there was also a different group there as well; mom and dad along with grandma and grandpa were there also. There were also a lot of young people there as well. The well to do and the not so well to do and why were they all there you might be wondering.

Lane thinks it’s because everyone is afraid of these uncertain times that we are living in. they feel like they need to protect themselves from the unknown. People were buying all types of guns and ammo. It was difficult to find certain types of ammo and some dealers were even sold out. This was early in the day of the first day of the show. If what we saw yesterday at this gun show is in any way what’s happening in the rest of the country then lane says; I would dearly advise you if you don’t know how to garden that you learn and do so quickly cause the way it looks by the desperation we witnessed yesterday on peoples faces if things go as they might a person needs to be prepared for anything.

Be it the terrorists taking away our way of life or stealing our food supply so plan that garden soon.
